Style Guide

To help you choose the perfect Bikini or Swimwear, we have compiled a short reference guide to match your body type with the ideal style.

Hourglass Shape:

Lucky enough for you, any style suits your shape. To give extra sexiness a bandeau or triangle bikini top would do the job.

Pear Shape:

This is when you have bigger hips and smaller shoulders or bust.

The best tops for this shape would be a bandeau or the plunging neckline of a Triangle Top which ties in a halter behind the neck. These draw attention to the bust area and make the shoulders appear wider, therefore making your shape look even. For an extra lift you could opt for padded or moulded cups.

For your bottoms a low waist would suit with the option of small ties on the sides as these also help balance your figure.

AVOID high waist bikini bottoms and swimsuits, these make you look bigger than you are.

Apple Shape:

This is when you are likely to hold a little extra on your upper body, such as the tummy or bust.

If you are this shape you will most definitely have amazing legs, so show them off!

Tops best suited to your shape are halter-neck bikini tops and tankini tops. To compliment this look and your killer legs wear high waist bikini bottoms.

Darker colours give an illusion of a slimmer upper half.

In the case of swimsuits, any with ruched or criss-cross styles help slim the middle.

AVOID horizontal stripes as these will only make you appear bigger.

Full Figure:

If you decide to go for a bikini, plain bikini bottoms work best for you, with a 3 inch side band. In the case of tops  look out for those with lace or mesh inserts as they give the best support. Also look for this in the bust of swimsuits.

If opting for a swimsuit, any with strategically placed cut-out areas or deep V neckline will elongate your torso.

AVOID Bikini shorts or high cut bikini bottoms as these will make your bum appear bigger.

If  you would like to cover up when not sun bathing, try a sexy sarong or caftan. This way you can feel cool in light layers and still look amazing.

Straight Figure:

This applies to any woman who has small bust and hips.

Triangle bikini tops work best as these tie behind the neck and create an illusion of a fuller bust (of course any with padding is a bonus). Bikini bottoms with tie sides or shorts help make the hips look wider and more curvaceous.

To create more shape go for embellishment or detail, such as frills or ruffles at the bust and waistline. Horizontal stripes create a similar affect.

AVOID vertical stripes and high necklines as these emphasise your straight figure. Dark colours in swimsuits are also a bad idea as they do the same.

Petite Figure:

This refers to any woman 5’3 or less.

Go for tops with a plunging neckline or halter neck as these elongate you upper body. Padded or moulded cups can give extra lift if needed.

Opt for high cut bikini bottoms as these help in making your legs look longer.

AVOID oversized prints and straps, these will distract the eye and are not flattering.
